Bad guys created a new way of getting your credentials.
Since tabs are in all browsers today most of us are surfing a hand full of sites at the same time.

The new  phishing scam works while you are surfing one site, a tab you are not watching
changes its contet to a fake website of facebook or twitter or something like this!

These days a new Windows 0day exploit is detected.
With it an attacker can own a victim without clicking on any file.
Put on a USB-Stick it infects the victim by connecting to the PC.

Some of you may know this situation:
You sit around your computer with some guys and really, really need to go to toilet or something but you don’t want that these guys play with your computer/laptop.

So you lock your screen and went away. As soon as your back you type in your password (hopefully no one will see it). Maybe its really long and takes some time. Wouldn’t it be great your computer locks itself if you went away and unlocks if your back?
No problem!

Meego v1.0 on Asus EEE 1000h

Meego ist das neue Gemeinschaftsprojekt von Intel und Nokia.
Es setzt sich aus den beiden Projekten Moblin (Intel) und Maemo (Nokia) zusammen. Bereits zu Moblin-Zeiten habe ich mir die Releases das ein oder andere mal angeschaut, hatte aber immer etwas auszusetzen.
Besonders an Moblin und jetzt Meego gefällt mir das Userinterface (UI).
Es ist innovativ und für den Netbookeinsatz optimiert.

h264 Videos unter Ubuntu Lucid Lynx erstellen

Seit Lucid Lynx ist es in Ubuntu scheinbar nicht mehr möglich h264 Videos zu erstellen.
Ging dies bei Karmic noch ohne Probleme, will FFMPEG einfach keine Filme mehr in h264 codieren.
Auch das Programm h264enc hat (zumindest bei mir ) nicht funktioniert, da dieses einen AAC Codec wollte, den es nicht in den Repos gab.
